The bridge tunnel is much longer than it was originally as the road has been widened. Here you see the new concrete tunnel meeting the restored stone arch. Lock 21w is beyond.

Saddleworth Museum is alongside the canal at Uppermill. Boat trips run from here in season. For many years the Pennine Moonraker was the only boat to be seen here but now there are always a number of boats moored in Uppermill.
